- I've always loved animals. All kind of animals. Several years ago, I worked for a veterinarian where I was surprised to see how many pets were considered just objects to be "thrown away" when they became inconvenient. Now I'm trying to help build a new shelter in Blount County, TN, where animals like these are not dumped by the side of the road. Many of the animals brought to animal control on Friday, are strays. So I wanted to help make a difference to see these animals find a loving home where they are part of the family.... not an object.
